“Update: had the crew come back a few months later for the exterior. You won’t be disappointed.
We hired A New Leaf to repaint the interior of our home, and we couldn’t be happier!
Thomas, the owner, came out for an estimate and immediately set the tone for the whole experience—professional, friendly, and easy to work with.
Michelle, Rusty, and Dale were phenomenal—they went above and beyond, even helping fix a few spots that needed repair before painting, which made a huge difference. The customer service was top-notch, and it was a pleasure to talk with them. Our home feels completely refreshed, like a brand-new space. We’re already planning to hire the same exact crew again in the spring for the exterior. Highly recommend!”

“I initially worked with Thomas as the consultant and person who came to my house to discuss both the interior and exterior paint projects. He was great to work with, knew his info, made great suggestions, and checked back on any questions I had before I decided to use New Leaf Painting to do the job. When the projects started I worked with Billy and his crew. They were great to work with. They were on time, professional, well mannered. They set up in the garage and I was amazed at how quickly they removed old wallpaper and prepped the rooms for painting. They checked with me to make sure I was good as I was working from home. The interior turned out great. They then tackled the outside. I needed some repair work on my chimney and we discussed additional work they found after tearing off old parts. They made sure I was ok with what needed to be done. The same thing happened by my front door. Then I wanted my front door stained but they convinced me I would be unhappy with the results so we went to plan B and painted the door the same color as the shutters and it turned out great. I had friends over Labor Day Weekend and they were impressed with how well the house looked. All the workers put in plenty of hours, were courteous, cleaned up and generally went the extra mile on my projects. I appreciated the hard work and attention to detail. Overall I was extremely satisfied with the results of both the interior and exterior paint projects. Thanks New Leaf.”

“I could not be more pleased with the exterior paint job A New Leaf performed on my home. The crew, lead by Michelle, and her workers (Rusty, Dale, and Pearson) were absolutely amazing. This crew arrived on time, kept me posted throughout each day, and were receptive to my concerns. The final product was a beautiful paint job that made my wife and I feel great about hiring them. Thank you Thomas Drake for a competitive price, and a great crew. Your company is certainly top shelf. Cheers! Andy N.”

“A New Leaf Painting recently painted the exterior of our stucco home. They were fast, efficient and the crew was very nice. THey made sure to clear up the worksite well and even requested to leave materials on-site for the following day. The company was super easy to work with and we have gotten many compliments on the paint job. The finished job looks great. We would highly recommend ANLP to anyone in the North Florida area.”

What we evaluate before painting
Conditions That Change a Selva Lakes Painting Project
Selva Lakes sits close to the water, so wind-driven rain, UV and salt-laden air weigh on every exterior here, on top of Florida’s heat and humidity.
The neighborhood name does not determine the coating system; the existing surface does. These are common conditions we evaluate so repairs and preparation can be written into the estimate before work begins.
Salt air and wind-driven rain
Properties closer to the water may see greater exposure to wind-driven rain, UV and salt-laden air. Surface preparation and coating selection carry more weight here, and elevations facing the ocean often differ from those that don’t.
Stucco cracks and failed sealant
A stucco crack and a failed sealant joint are different conditions and should not automatically receive the same treatment. We identify where patching, texture matching or sealant replacement belongs before specifying the coating.
Wood rot on trim and roofline components
Fascia, soffits, door frames and decorative trim should be firm and paint-ready. Soft or deteriorated material needs repair or replacement; paint cannot restore structural integrity to damaged wood.
Different exposure on each elevation
One side of a home may chalk and fade while another stays damp and develops mildew. Preparation is adjusted to the conditions found on each elevation rather than assuming the entire exterior has weathered uniformly.
We evaluate the property before quoting, so the preparation, repairs and coating system in your estimate are the ones your home actually needs.
Every Selva Lakes estimate is free, and it is written after we see the house, because the same square footage can need very different work. Exterior projects involving wood repair, siding replacement or extensive preparation cost more than a straightforward repaint, but that work is what the coating is protecting.
We use Sherwin-Williams and Benjamin Moore products, chosen for the surface, the room and the Florida conditions it faces. The exact products for your project are listed in your written estimate.
Exteriors
Coatings for stucco, siding and trim that help resist sun, humidity, rain and mildew.
Interiors
Washable finishes for kitchens, baths and high-traffic rooms, softer sheens for bedrooms.
Primers That Fit the Job
Stain-blocking, bonding and masonry primers so the topcoat lasts.
Color selection sets the desired mood and enhances the aesthetic appeal of your house or business. Our professional designers help customers choose shades that transform walls and bring life to your space. Whether for interiors, cabinets, or an exterior paint job, we ensure every final brushstroke delivers exceptional results.
Flexible Monthly Payments for Your Painting Project
Our painting company makes it easy to get started today. With simple monthly payments, you can begin your painting project now and spread costs into fair, manageable installments. No hidden fees, just great service from a professional painting company that puts customer satisfaction first.
Frequently Asked Questions About Painting in Selva Lakes
Yes. We provide residential and commercial painting in Selva Lakes and nearby Duval County communities, including interior and exterior repaints, trim painting and cabinet refinishing. Stucco and wood repairs are handled as part of full exterior painting projects.
As a guide, our published interior ranges for walls and trim are $4,500–$8,500 for a 1,500–2,000 sq. ft. home and $8,000–$13,500 for 2,500–2,800 sq. ft. Exterior starting ranges include $4,900–$8,500+ for 2,000–2,500 sq. ft. Every home is different, so your price is set in a written estimate after we see it.
Yes, we take care of both while doing a full exterior repaint. Soft or rotted fascia, soffits, trim, door frames and window surrounds are repaired or replaced, and stucco cracks are repaired and sealed, before any coating goes on. We do not take on repair-only jobs, and painting over rotten wood is not recommended.
Over time, strong sun and UV fade coatings and break them down, while high humidity and frequent rain can keep surfaces damp, and shaded walls can be more prone to mildew and algae. That is why exterior work starts with washing and careful prep, and why coatings are chosen for each surface’s own sun and moisture exposure.
It can. Coatings are applied only within the manufacturer’s recommended conditions, so rain, humidity or wet surfaces may shift the schedule, and we tell you when weather changes the plan. Most exterior projects take several days overall, depending on the home’s size, repairs, prep and number of surfaces.
Yes. We look at the home and provide a free written estimate that clearly outlines the scope before work begins, and financing options are available for qualifying projects. Exterior projects come with a 5-year workmanship warranty and interior projects with a 2-year workmanship warranty, subject to the terms of the written warranty and project scope.
The A New Leaf Standard
The Difference Is in the Details You Notice Every Day.
A fresh coat of paint is easy to promise. What you live with afterward is the difference — careful preparation, quality materials, clean lines, protected surfaces, clear communication, and a job finished with care.
Since 2010, we’ve brought that same standard of care to every project — from a single room or cabinet refinishing project to complete exteriors, commercial spaces, and concrete coatings.
We fix before we paint
Stucco cracks, wood rot, drywall damage, and other surface problems are addressed before the finish coat goes on.
One project at a time
Your crew stays focused on your project instead of bouncing between multiple jobs and leaving you waiting.
Your home stays protected
Floors, furniture, landscaping, and surrounding surfaces are carefully protected while we work, with clean job sites maintained throughout the project.
Built for Florida homes
Our preparation and coating systems are selected around the heat, humidity, moisture, stucco, and exterior conditions common throughout Northeast Florida.
Experience the difference of working with a team dedicated to your home’s beauty and long-term protection.
