The interior turned out great. They then tackled the outside. I needed some repair work on my chimney and we discussed additional work they found after tearing off old parts. They made sure I was ok with what needed to be done. The same thing happened by my front door. Then I wanted my front door stained but they convinced me I would be unhappy with the results so we went to plan B and painted the door the same color as the shutters and it turned out great. I had friends over Labor Day Weekend and they were impressed with how well the house looked. All the workers put in plenty of hours, were courteous, cleaned up and generally went the extra mile on my projects. I appreciated the hard work and attention to detail. Our typical ranges cover walls and trim: $4,500 to $8,500 for a small home (1,500 to 2,000 sq. ft.), $8,000 to $13,500 for a medium home (2,500 to 2,800 sq. ft.) and $9,500 to $19,500 for a large home (3,000 to 3,500 sq. ft.). Ceilings, doors and repairs are priced separately, and financing is available for qualifying projects.
Our interior painting covers walls, ceilings, trim, doors and baseboards in any combination, plus drywall repair, texture matching, caulking and color changes. The scope goes in writing before work begins, so there are no surprises.
We fill holes and cracks, repair drywall as needed, re-texture patched areas to match orange peel or knockdown, sand smooth and seal stains before any finish coat. We spot prime repairs and big color changes rather than priming everywhere by default, and add fresh caulk where trim gaps have opened.
Not the large pieces. We move large furniture away from the walls and cover floors and built-ins with drop cloths. It helps if you clear smaller items like coffee tables, end tables and lamps ahead of time, and take down picture frames, mirrors and wall art before painting.
We use premium Sherwin-Williams and Benjamin Moore paints with finishes suited to each space, though it's your home and you are welcome to choose your own paint. We always propose at least two coats for newly painted surfaces or whenever the color changes.
